First board meeting of 2022

We’re looking forward to bringing back some of your favourite events for 2022.

Hi everyone,

Well what a start to the year … it’s been a pandemic rollercoaster already but it looks like things are starting to settle (if we can call it that) which is great news for our organisation as we try to plan the year with some kind of certainty. Outside of general administration and reporting requirements we discussed a range of activities for the year.

So what do we have planned for 2022?

Our board has a number of initiatives planned this year.

  • Finalise our donation to the QRL ‘Turn To Me’ round, following on from our Sportsman’s Dinner in late 2021. This event and relationship was established by the late Grant Lowe and we are proud to be able to keep this legacy alive. The other event beneficiary was Ipswich Hospice, who were presented with their $8000 donation last year. Thank you again to all event sponsors and supporters.

  • We’re planning two events for the calendar year. We will be bringing back the end of year race day and will look to host another event mid to late 2022.

  • Swich On Inc will be running a series of community grants, with a total donation pool of $6000. The grants/donations will be made to local organisations that support initiatives that align with our charter. More details and criteria will follow … so watch this space.

  • Reignite awareness of our HQ Wellbeing Portal, a free community resource provided by Swich On Inc in partnership with Mindstar. The board will look to introduce new content and raise awareness of the platform after the original launch a few years ago.

As always, we’ll keep you updated via social media and email channels.

Thanks,

Ben Hayward
